Default Damage focused Paragon

So, as I get very bored of the imbagon build very easily, I've been working on bigger damage paragon builds and I came up with this:

[Wearying Offense;AZMyJWuoLludVsiJTCh9WGjNTC]

Spear Mastery headgear +1 spear mastery rune
+1 motivation
+1 Leadership

Basically, I'd use it with an Orders hero. Both "Dodge This!" and Wearying Spear will be able to be spammed on hit, and "Dodge This!" should trigger Purifying Finale to rid yourself of weakness.

Please keep opinions and suggestions constructive and civil.

Bad skillbar. Is that what you want to hear?
It adds nothing to the team but some mediocre damage.
No ias on a skillbar instantly makes it bad.

Interesting!

No ias on a skillbar does not make it bad. You need ias to build adrenaline, but if you have enough adrenaline already, then you do not need the ias. The extra autoattacks don't do much damage.

This build is designed to spam Wearying Spear. Looks like it does a good job of that.

Think I would get rid of Signet of Synergy.

It does. An ias can almost double your damage output. Yes also on this bar.

yeah, spears are to slow without ias. i like the idea of dodge this with constant double adren, but weakness everytime u use ur spear attack isn't going to fly, lol

He would to spend another slot to keep agressive up between battles... but yes IAS is essential if you want to maximize damage output.

Maybe something like this

[Ebon Battle Standard of Honor][Asuran Scan][Focused Anger][For Great Justice!][Dodge This!][Wearying Spear][Purifying Finale][Frenzy]

Dunno if that's enough energy, may work better with [Go for the Eyes]. It's alot of effort to spam wearying, I'd much rather be spamming deep wound somehow.

Paras do awful damage in pve and u should just accept it. In pve it's a purely defensive character and that's all there's to it

If you're not running [aggressive refrain] and spamming [save yourselves], then perhaps you could use [soldier's fury] and drop [focused anger]+[for great justice], thus giving yourself an extra skillslot and gaining an IAS.

[signet of synergy] is pretty lame, especially if you plan to run this with an orders hero.

[go for the eyes] adds more damage than you think, especially if you have minions among your allies.

You'd still need a sustainable shout/chant that affects yourself.

Don't leave home without it (unless you also pack SY!)

No IAS sucks, people saying Para's can't deal damage are dumb.

[soldiers fury] is way more fun than [focused anger]

[i am the strongest] and [theres nothing to fear] would be options with decent benefits, otherwise you'll end up taking something useless but easier to maintain [cant touch this]

*facepalm*

I guess this is what I get for posting on Guru

But yes, using Frenzy is an option I considered, but I still don't like the idea of having it without a cancel stance, and AR is just plain out because it would mess up the attack spam and Soldier's fury is not in there because the point is to spam wearying strike every hit, which you cannot do in that case.

[Soldier's Fury][Enduring Harmony][For Great Justice!][Wearying Spear][Purifying Finale][Dodge This!][Asuran Scan][Ebon Battle Standard of Honor] - ugly 10s downtime though. You could use celerity but then you hardly need IAS.

Drunken master + booze (or even without booze) in place of frenzy on my earlier build will work - probably much better given the energy costs. Some IAS + Ebon Standard should increase damage over the OP build.

And yeah, the cracked armor of AR messes up the wearying thing, your finale removes that instead of weakness. There are probably better skills to make a damage build around, but those are the constraints for this one.

Yeah, there are definitely better damage builds focused around using a warrior primary. I simply love the idea of hitting for 50+ armor ignoring, unblockable damage per hit though.

This type of idea actually would work on a warrior primary pretty well. Too bad Battle Rage isn't 33 IAS instead of movement speed. I suppose it'd be pretty OP if that were the case though.

I also remember coming up with a weird Assassin build that was focused around hitting "Dodge This!" on every hit with Locust's fury, which was interesting.

it won't work... when u use dodge this you will lose a strike of adrenaline and thus can't use wearying spear until after a normal attack so all u can hope for is to alternate between dodge this w/ normal attack then wearying spear... awful damage compared to other builds

As ridiculous as your name and typing skills are, I kind of overlooked the fact. Ok, so you can spam it -every- hit, but it's still good and still does very nice damage :P

This build isn't intense on adrenaline, but you should go for more IAS if possible.

Also, instead of Wearying spear + motivation crap, why not go /E for Conjure and an IAS of some sort? FGJ is great, but usually you don't need to have 24/7 adren gain if you're not going Imba.

Just +10 from conjure or so plus IAS adds up significantly.

EBSoH is something you should add in as well.

This is Truth. The best kinds of paragon damage builds are builds that increase the damage of your group, not yourself. Really, the strongest paragon "attack skill" is GFTE. I suggest starting with that skill and working out from there.

You're playing the wrong class though if you want to go purely personal weapon damage and still be useful in pve.

I play just about every class, because I get far too bored playing one for long

Also, being one for aesthetics, I generally do not like offensive party buffs because I can't see physically how much I am buffing people. At least with Imbagon, I can widely tell because -nothing- is dieing.

[Anthem of Flame]
Everything burns. It's pretty easy to see the effect.

I've played:

[Spear of Lightning][Blazing Spear] or [Wild Throw][Cruel Spear][Anthem of Flame][Go for the Eyes][Aggressive Refrain][no skill][no skill]

for a spear chuck build. I'd run that over the first build.
